Police intervene in situation at St. Elizabeth Technical High following series of incidents
The St. Elizabeth police have intervened in a situation at the St. Elizabeth Technical High School, following a series of incidents over the past few hours.
It’s reported that yesterday a dispute between 2 students resulted in one of them being injured.
That fight was the catalyst for several other altercations, some of which were captured on videos that have since gone viral on social media.
School administrators suspended classes for today, only allowing students sitting external examinations or participating in sports on campus.
Operations Officer at the St. Elizabeth Division Deputy Superintendent Owen Brown said following the fights, school resource officers went to the institution.
He said discussions were held with administrators and some parents.
DSP Brown assured that the police will continue to work with the school.
He urged parents to socialise children well, and teach them good conflict resolution.
