A woman was killed along Love Lane Kingston yesterday and hours later the alleged attacker was fatally shot by police.

The murder victim has been identified as 50-year-old Katherine Wallace, a Higgler of Fleet Street Kingston.

The incident occurred in view of other persons and was captured on video.

Police reports are that about 5:20 PM, Wallace and a man had a dispute which became physical.

A knife was brought into play and used to inflict several wounds to Wallace’s upper body.

The police were summoned and Wallace was taken to hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Police say the suspect left the area.

Meanwhile, the suspect who police identify as Davar Daley of Kings Street Fletchers Land was intercepted by officers at about 11:25 PM along Hanover Street.

Police had gone to the area on intelligence, in relation to the killing of Wallace, when they encountered a man fitting the description of the suspect.

Its reported that officers instructed him to drop a knife.

Further allegations are that he stabbed at one of the officers and was fatally shot.
