Jamaica Inn Foundation launches 9th annual Backgammon Tournament
The Jamaica Inn Foundation has launched its 9th annual Backgammon Tournament aimed at supporting the White River Fish Sanctuary and protecting the island’s coral reefs.
Backgammon is a 2-player, 15-checker-per-side board game combining strategy and luck.
This year’s tournament is set for June 19-21 at Jamaica Inn in St. Ann will see over 40 players.
Speaking at the launch last week, board member of the Jamaica Inn Foundation Olivia Morrow emphasized that a healthy coral reef enhances the sea’s beauty, improves the tourism sea experience and assists the fragile ecosystem.
She highlighted the foundation’s works aimed at protecting the marine environment.
