Reigning  Olympic  champion  Roje  Stona  is  among  the  world  stars  who  will  be  in action   in  the  men’s  Discus   at  the  Wanda  Diamond  League  season  opener  in  Shanghai  on  May  16.

The  World  class  field  which  has  six  of  the  worlds  top  ten  discus  thrower  sees  the  Jamaican  taking  on  a  world  class  field , which includes three former Diamond League champions in Matthew Denny of  Australia, Kristjan Ceh of  Slovenia and  Swedish  star  Daniel Ståhl.

Stona won gold at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, but is still chasing his first ever Diamond League win.

Shanghai is the opening leg of the 2026 Wanda Diamond League, which will cross four continents and 15 cities en route to the two-day series final in Brussels on September 4-5.
