Over $1.4 billion donated into ODPEM managed accounts following the passage of Hurricane Melissa
Over $1.4 billion has been donated into accounts held and managed by the Office of Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management (ODPEM) following the passage of Hurricane Melissa.
Director General, Commander Alvin Gayle gave the update at Jamaica House this morning, following concerns about how the donated funds are being handled.
He broke down how the money has been spent.
Part of the funds has gone to the Restoration of Owner or Occupant Family Shelters (ROOFS) programme.
