Three wanted by police in fraud-related investigations

Two men and one woman have been listed as wanted by detectives from the Fraud Squad and the Financial Crimes Investigation Division of the Jamaica Constabulary Force, JCF.
They are 31-year-old Brent Lynch of Greater Portmore, St. Catherine; Marlon Smith of Osborne Road in Kingston and 27-year-old Roshene Grindley of Gordon Town, St. Andrew.
Police say Lynch previously pleaded guilty to a fraud-related offence involving $18 million as reported by a financial institution in 2019.
Following his guilty plea before the Kingston and St. Andrew Parish Court, Lynch absconded bail and failed to appear for sentencing.
Meanwhile, Smith is wanted in relation to fraudulent conversion and non-delivery of goods or services.
It is alleged that between November 30 and December 2023, Smith collected $J1.3 million as well as $US6000 from an individual to import two motor vehicles.
The vehicles were never delivered and the funds were not returned.
Police say Smith has evaded the police.
And Grindley was convicted in her absence on July 25, 2024 for uttering forged documents and obtaining credit by fraud.
Her whereabouts remain unknown.
The JCF is appealing to anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Lynch, Smith and Grindley to contact them.
The accused persons are being urged to turn themselves over to the police immediately.
Citizens are also being reminded that harbouring a fugitive is a criminal offence.
