Jahmarie Nolan receives late call up to Reggae Boys squad

National Under-17 Reggae Boys team captain Jahmarie Nolan has received a late call-up to the national senior Reggae Boys squad ahead of the start of the CONCACAF Nations League on Friday at the National Stadium.

This was hinted at by Reggae Boys head coach Rudolph Speid last night on Irie FM’s What’s the Score show and confirmed this afternoon by the Jamaica Football Federation.

The World Cup-bound Nolan, who plays for MLS NEXT Pro club Toronto FC, made his professional debut at age 14, playing for Mount Pleasant in the local Jamaica Premier League.

The 16-year-old Nolan earlier this year won the Best Player award at the 2026 CONCACAF Under-17 World Cup qualifying tournament, scoring four goals and providing two assists in three matches to help the Young Reggae Boys qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be staged later this year in Qatar.

Coach Speid, in dropping the hint, said we should not be surprised to see Nolan added to the squad.

Nolan will join the squad on Wednesday.

In the meantime, another World Cup-bound Under-17 player, Jamone Lyle, has been invited to train with the senior Reggae Boys.

The star Jamaica College Manning Cup player also played a key role in Jamaica’s qualification for the 2026 FIFA Under-17 World Cup, scoring three goals in three games during the qualifying campaign.

He also, like Nolan, represented the national Under-20 team in the final round of the CONCACAF Under-20 Championship in Mexico.

The 17-year-old has featured for Waterhouse FC in the Jamaica Premier League.

Tajay Grant of Racing United has also been invited to train with the national squad.
