The police have launched a high level probe into a recent incident in Kingston where individuals fired several gunshots into the air near a crowd.

A 45 second long video, which shows a commotion and individuals discharging firearms, is circulating on social media.

The incident reportedly took place at Jarrett Lane in Mountain View Avenue.

Head of the Area 4 police Assistant Commissioner Michael Phipps said the investigation into the incident is progressing well.

He highlighted that the police will be taking strong action against the perpetrators.
