Buju Banton is giving Wayne Wonder and his wife until Wednesday to retract what he describes as defamatory statements made against him.

According to a statement from his attorney, Rita Allen-Brown, Buju has categorically rejected the allegations, labeling them false and damaging to his reputation.

The statement outlined that the claims falsely allege the commission of serious criminal acts, adding that they are entirely untrue, lack factual basis, and have caused significant reputational harm both locally and internationally.

A formal legal notice has reportedly been issued to the responsible party, demanding the immediate removal of all defamatory content, along with a full and unequivocal retraction and public apology.

The legal team also noted that the continued circulation of these claims across digital platforms is being actively monitored, warning that all available legal remedies will be pursued against anyone involved in spreading the allegations.

The statement further emphasized that Buju Banton has built a global reputation over decades through his music, cultural impact, and advocacy, and that the claims stand in stark contrast to that legacy.
