Camille McDonald calls for accountability from Tyra Banks
Former America’s Next Top Model contestant Camille McDonald says Tyra Banks should take accountability for what she believes was the exploitation of contestants’ trauma on the reality series.
Speaking during her Road To Success interview on the Easy Skankin show with Kshema Francis, McDonald acknowledged that Tyra Banks remains an inspiration and role model. However, she said accountability is necessary in light of concerns raised by former contestants.
Her comments come following the release of the Netflix docuseries Reality Check Inside America’s Next Top Model, where past participants openly discuss difficult experiences during their time on the show.
Tyra Banks has since hinted at a possible 25th cycle of America’s Next Top Model, stating that her work is not done and teasing new plans for the franchise.
The discussion now turns to whether reflection and accountability should come before a reboot.
