Tribute to Dennis Brown launches Reggae Month 2026
Reggae Month 2026 officially got underway with a church service followed a tribute to the Crown Prince of Reggae, Dennis Brown.
Held under the theme Come Ketch Di Riddim, the event marked the first of several activities planned for the month of February and also commemorated what would have been Dennis Brown’s 69th birthday.
Minister of Culture Olivia Grange, in a tribute message, said his voice still lives and his message still matters, adding that love remains his principle, purpose, and legacy.
Celebrations continue today with a special service and tribute held in partnership with the Dennis Brown Trust.
Reggae Month activities will take place across the island throughout February. This year also marks the first time an entertainer has been appointed as the face of Reggae Month, with Etana serving as Reggae Month Ambassador.
