Veteran selector Billy Slaughter has spoken publicly for the first time following comments made by Stone Love founder Wee Pow, who announced last year that Slaughter was no longer part of the sound system.

In 2025, Fada Pow said that rebellious behavior was taking place within Stone Love and stated that Billy Slaughter was no longer on his platform. He also clarified that while his son remains part of the brand, Slaughter does not.

During his Road To Success interview, on the Easy Skankin show with Kshema Francis, Billy Slaughter said the decision was hurtful and affected not only him but also supporters who love the Stone Love legacy.

Billy Slaughter is now focused on his own sound system, Slaughter Storm, and has several upcoming events lined up.
