National Cyclist Lori Sharpe referred to a specialist
National cyclist Lori Sharpe has been discharged from hospital and has now been referred to a specialist for further follow up.
Sharpe spent three nights at the Linstead hospital after she was knocked from her bicycle in the Bog Walk Gorge last Wednesday while she was returning from a training session.
The 2025 Caribbean Cycling Championship silver medallist was cleared after the brain ct scan came back positive.
In the latest accident Sharpe suffered a minor fracture in her left ankle, and a dislocated pin in the right ankle from a previous surgery.
This is the second time in 2025 that the national rider was struck from her bicycle, in the first incident back in August she sustained a fractured shoulder blade when she was hit from her bike while training on the Mandela highway.
