Prime Minister Dr. Andrew Holness has urged more private sector entities to contribute towards Jamaica’s rebuilding efforts, post hurricane Melissa.
He was speaking yesterday at the handing over of 55 million dollars’ worth of building material, donated by Kemtek Development and Construction Company.
The items were given to the Office of Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management (ODPEM) and the Jamaica Defence Force (JDF).
They will be used for the repair of roofs in the affected parishes.
Dr. Holness expressed gratitude to Kemtek for its generosity and commitment to national development.
