Seiveright urges reopening of small businesses; says MIIC is finalising targeted plan to assist
State Minister for Industry, Investment and Commerce, MIIC Delano Seiveright is urging business owners—especially small and medium-sized enterprises—to continue pressing towards reopening, following the devastation of Hurricane Melissa.
Speaking in Hanover after recent meetings with business operators and community leaders, Mr. Seiveright expressed deep sympathy for those who have suffered major losses.
He acknowledged that the business community is under pressure but urged a swift return to normal operations.
He said under the leadership of Minister Aubyn Hill, the ministry is finalising a targeted plan to help community shops and small enterprises reopen.
