Health and Wellness Minister Dr. Christopher Tufton says plans are being finalised to have medical professionals transferred to parishes heavily hit by Hurricane Melissa to provide support.

The hurricane wreaked havoc on medical facilities in a number of parishes.

Dr Tufton explains that plans are being made to have those professionals relocated but issues such as accommodation are being finalised.

The Minister adds that relief efforts in those parishes will require many volunteers.

He is hoping that the arrangements will be finalized this week.
