Efforts are being made by the Government and communications partners to use Star Link to resolve challenges with Automated Teller Machines, ATMs.

Telecommunications Minister, Daryl Vaz made the disclosure following a meeting with the Police Commissioner and the head of disaster response at Star Link.

Star Link is an American operated satellite internet constellation service.

Mr. Vaz said Jamaica is to receive over 600 Star Link devices.

He said the distribution of the devices is being prioritised.

The Minister said the Star Link team will use their expertise to address information and communication technology issues affecting the island.
