Member of Parliament for Eastern Westmoreland, Dr. Dayton Campbell is again appealing for urgent help for constituents.

Noting that category 5 Hurricane Melissa made landfall in the constituency on Tuesday, Dr. Campbell said at least 10 deaths were recorded there.

The MP noted that some 1000 houses have been destroyed.

He said the constituency should be declared a disaster area.

Dr. Campbell said blocked roads need to be cleared immediately.

Noting that a distribution site has been established in White House, Dr. Campbell is calling for aid to be sent to the area.
