JCF deploys Starlink devices to parishes hardest-hit by Hurricane Melissa
As part of efforts to aid in the restoration of communication, the Jamaica Constabulary Force, JCF, is deploying Starlink devices to parishes worst affected by Hurricane Melissa.
Starlink is an American operated satellite internet constellation service.
In a post on Instagram today, the JCF said devices are being deployed to areas including St. Elizabeth, Trelawny, Westmoreland, Hanover and St. James.
Head of the force’s Information and Communication Technology Division, Superintendent Orette Bascoe said more devices will be distributed over the coming days.
