Injury update prompts squad changes for Reggae Girlz ahead of T&T friendly

The Reggae Girlz technical staff has announced several changes to the squad ahead of Tuesday’s international friendly against the Trinidad and Tobago senior women’s team, following a number of injury setbacks.

Goalkeeper Rebecca Spencer, along with Atlanta Primus, Vyan Sampson, and Shania Hayles, have all been ruled out of the encounter due to injury.

In their absence, Mia Mitchell, Lola Nesbeth, Serena Mensa, and Ricshya Walker have been added to the matchday group. The four have been training with the team at their camp in Trinidad and are expected to integrate smoothly into the setup.

Head Coach Hubert Busby has expressed confidence in the depth and readiness of his squad despite the late adjustments.

The Reggae Girlz will continue their preparations ahead of Tuesday’s fixture at the Ato Boldon Stadium, with the official pre-match press conference scheduled for Monday, October 27.

The team is preparing for the Concacaf W Championship qualifiers where they are drawn in Group B alongside Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, Guyana and Nicaragua. Trinidad and Tobago will contest Group F which includes Barbados, El Salvador and Honduras.
