Water Minister says it’s expected that 80% of NWC customers will have access to potable water within 72 hours of a storm
Water Minister, Matthew Samuda, says it is expected that 80 per cent of National Water Commission (NWC) customers will have access to potable water within 72 hours of a storm.
Mr. Samuda says this expectation is an improvement following the passage of Hurricane Beryl in July last year.
Recalling the lessons from that weather system, and as Tropical Storm Melissa approaches, Mr. Samuda says measures were taken to ensure quick water restoration to customers.
50 generators are ready for deployment, if necessary.
