Concacaf Reschedules Caribbean Cup Semifinal Second Leg Between Mount Pleasant and Defence Force
Regional football governing body Concacaf has announced further changes to the 2025 Caribbean Cup semifinal schedule involving Mount Pleasant FA and Defence Force FC, as Jamaica braces for the impact of Tropical Storm Melissa.
The second leg of the two-way tie, originally slated for Thursday, October 30 at the National Stadium in Kingston, has been rescheduled to Wednesday, November 5, with kickoff set for 6:00 p.m.
In a statement, Concacaf said the adjustment was made following consultation with local authorities and in coordination with both participating clubs, citing the need to prioritize the safety of players, officials, and supporters amid the approaching weather system.
The change comes after both legs of the other semifinal, featuring Dominican Republic clubs O&M FC and Cibao FC, were also rescheduled to Thursday, October 30 and Thursday, November 6, respectively.
Mount Pleasant, who re on a record-equalling five-match winning streak, head into the return leg in a commanding position after a comprehensive 5–1 victory over Defence Force in Wednesday’s first leg at the Hasely Crawford Stadium in Port of Spain.
