As Jamaicans continue to monitor Tropical Storm Melissa, the Constabulary’s Agricultural Protection Branch (APB) is urging farmers to coordinate with Area Agricultural Protection Units to prevent theft.

According to APB Commander, Assistant Commissioner of Police Oral Pascoe, the Protection Units can help with farm patrols before and after a storm, among other types of support.

He is encouraging farmers to activate their farm emergency plan and not to share their evacuation plans or stored produce quantities.
