Transport Minister Daryl Vaz has sought to assure parents that drivers of the Rural School Buses will not receive a second chance if they commit traffic infractions.

Mr. Vaz gave the assurance during a press conference on Friday, as he again warned that a zero-tolerance approach will be taken against drivers with violations.

He explained that a more severe disciplinary methodology will be applied to drivers who transport children.

The Minister noted that while there have been some traffic incidents involving the school buses, these were minor.

He added that fleet reliability remains a top priority.
