FID and Casino Gaming Commission sign MOU to boost fight against financial crimes linked to casino operations

The Financial Investigations Division (FID) and the Casino Gaming Commission have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to deepen cooperation in the prevention, detection, investigation and enforcement of financial crimes connected to casino operations.

The agreement establishes clear protocols for information sharing, casework assistance, formal referrals, joint training, and periodic sector reviews, all of which are grounded in the FID Act and the Casino Gaming Act.

The MOU outlines clear legal and procedural guardrails for collaboration.

FID’s Chief Technical Director, Dennis Chung, lauded the partnership, which he said will be governed by confidentiality and data protection, while enabling evidence-based, court-ready casework.

Meanwhile, Chief Executive Officer of the Casino Gaming Commission, Cleveland Allen, said the agreement will help with enforcing compliance.
