Police are conducting a search at the home of missing Manchester school boy Jayden Smith  in Wales, Newport.

Members of the police’s Specialized Operations, Canine Unit and Missing Persons’ Desk are among those combing the area.

Searches have taken place since the 12-year-old boy went  missing on September 26. 

Meanwhile, his family has welcomed the search as they say they have been targeted by people spreading misinformation.

His aunt and uncle spoke to journalists this morning.
