Six people, including at least two nine-year-old children were shot and wounded along Text Lane, in Kingston last evening. 

Police say at about 8:45 P.M., several persons were sitting at a premises in the area when a motorcar approached them. 

The occupants of the vehicle reportedly opened gunfire on the group before driving away. 

After the shooting subsided, six people, including children, were discovered with gunshot wounds. 

They were transported to hospital, where they are receiving medical treatment. 

Last evening’s incident followed the deaths of five people, including a four-year-old girl in Linstead, St. Catherine, on Sunday. 

Four others, including an 11-year-old, are being treated.
