Police Commissioner Dr. Kevin Blake has sought to assure the Manchester High School community that every effort is being made to find missing student Jayden Smith.

The 12 year old boy has been missing since last week.

The police commissioner led a team on a visit to the school today, and met with principal Jasford Gabriel, staff members and students, to share information.

Senior Superintendent Dennis Brooks of the Constabulary Communications Network noted that persons have reported seeing Jayden, but he keeps eluding those searching for him.

He is urging anyone with information that could be helpful to contact the police.
