Aidonia unable to perform at Toronto Festival due to visa issues

Dancehall artist Aidonia will not be performing at the Soul Food Ultra Caribbean Festival in Toronto this weekend due to visa challenges.

In a statement released by the organizers, they explained:

“Despite our best efforts and working closely with all stakeholders, including the Canadian and Jamaican governments, unfortunately we were unable to secure his Canadian visa. We completely understand that some fans may be disappointed and may wish to request a refund. We hear you. That’s why we have opened a refund window until 10:00 am on September 26.

At the same time, we are truly excited to continue delivering this amazing event for the culture and the people of Toronto. Our lineup remains powerful with headliner Masicka, alongside Dancehall sensation Malie Donn, the newest forces in Dancehall Moyann and Stalk Ashley, and Toronto’s very own LTL.

Toronto, we’ve faced many hurdles to bring this project to life, but every step has been worth it. The forecast is clear and sunny, and together with the city, we’re ready to make history this Saturday.”

While Aidonia’s absence will be felt, organizers say the festival still promises an unforgettable celebration of Dancehall and Caribbean culture.
