Jamaica’s U21 Netballers stay perfect at World Youth Cup with third straight win

Jamaica’s national Under-21 netballers continued their unbeaten run at the 2025 Netball World Youth Cup in Gibraltar, chalking up a dominant 61–43 win over Wales on Tuesday.

The result pushed the young Sunshine Girls into second place in Pool C on six points, behind England only on goal percentage. It followed an earlier win over Tonga and after they were awarded victory by default over Sri Lanka who was removed from the tournament after being unable to secure visas in time to travel.

England also maintained their perfect record in the group with a commanding 75–25 win over Tonga, setting up a much-anticipated top-of-the-table clash with Jamaica on Wednesday.

Elsewhere in the competition, Australia stayed top of Pool B after brushing aside Samoa 65–36, while Singapore outclassed Northern Ireland 50–32.

In Pool D, Trinidad and Tobago outshot Barbados 58–33, while South Africa proved too strong for Malawi with a 64–33 win. And in Pool A, defending champions New Zealand remained flawless, securing their third straight win by hammering Malaysia 80–20.

Jamaica will now turn their attention to Wednesday’s showdown against England, a match expected to play a crucial role in determining who tops Pool C heading into the knockout stage.
