Jamaicans urged to seek help from nearest consulate when in distress abroad
Jamaican nationals, who encounter distress or require consular assistance while travelling aboard, are encouraged to contact the nearest Jamaican consulate or embassy.
They are also being urged to express their issues, by emailing the Foreign Affairs Ministry at [email protected].
The ministry’s appeal follows the recent repatriation of Orville Etoria from Eswatini.
In July, Mr. Etoria was deported by the United States to the southern African country, through a third-country deportation programme.
Following reports of his detention, the ministry remained in contact with him and his family to facilitate his welfare and eventual repatriation.
