CPFSA says decision to remove TikToker Rosalee’s 2 children from her care is justified

The Child Protection and Family Services Agency (CPFSA) says its decision to remove the children of popular TikToker Rosalee from her home is justified.

The two children were reportedly removed from her care amidst an ongoing investigation into their alleged abuse.

The CPFSA says threats made against the children by their mother, whose real name is June Dixon, during a recent TikTok Live also contributed to their removal.

The agency’s statement follows widespread discourse about the matter on social media, with some users calling on CPFSA to return the children to Rosalee.

However, the CPFSA’s Chief Executive Officer, Laurette Adams Thomas, says the agency had received multiple reports of abuse against the children.

She maintains that the CPFSA acted swiftly in the best interest of the children to prevent them from becoming victims of harm.

She says the latest action taken was prompted by threats Rosalee made to harm her children.

Mrs. Adams Thomas says the Child Care and Protection Act mandates the CPFSA to take the action it did.

Section 8 of the Act states that where there is an allegation that a child is in need of care and protection, it is the mandate of the CPFSA or the police to secure the child.

The parent or guardian must also be notified that the child is in the agency’s care and will be placed before the court within 48 hours.

They will also be notified of the date, time, and location of the court hearing so that they may be present.

During this initial hearing, the court will grant an interim order for a period of 30 days for the CPFSA to conduct further investigations.

The court will also decide who the child should be placed with for the period of the interim order.

When that period has ended, the findings of the CPFSA’s investigation are brought back to the court to determine whether the child may be returned to their parent or caregiver.

The case involving Rosalee’s children was brought before the court today.

The CPFSA did not provide further details regarding the court matter.

Meantime, Mrs. Adams Thomas has sought to clarify that information attributed to the CPFSA and being circulated on social media did not originate from the agency.

The CEO is also warning against the sharing of images or videos of children being harmed or abused on social media.
