NMIA to suspend operations from 7 PM tomorrow until 4 AM Wednesday to facilitate electrical infrastructure upgrade; flights unaffected
Operations at the Norman Manley International Airport (NMIA) in Kingston will be temporarily suspended to facilitate an electrical infrastructure upgrade.
PAC Kingston Airport Limited (PACKAL), a subsidiary of Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico and operator of the NMIA, said operations will be suspended from 7:00 PM on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, until 4:00 AM on Wednesday, September 10, when normal airport operations resume.
During this period, critical safety and security systems will remain operational.
There are no flights scheduled during the upgrade window, and so, passenger travel will not be impacted.
However, travellers are advised to verify flight schedules with their respective airlines for any changes to flights outside this upgrade window.
PACKAL said this scheduled upgrade is part of its ongoing commitment to build a premier gateway while continuing to ensure safe and reliable airport operations.
