St. Catherine truck driver charged with unlawful wounding and assaulting a constable

A St. Catherine truck driver has been slapped with several charges following an alleged confrontation with officers in Kingston on Friday.
Charged with unlawful wounding, resisting arrest, and assaulting a constable is forty-two-year-old Glenroy Williams of Westchester in Waterford, St. Catherine.
Reports from lawmen are that at about midday, Williams was reportedly observed by police officers committing breaches of the road traffic act.
He was informed about the breaches, but allegedly resisted arrest when the police attempted to accost him.
During the struggle, it is alleged he reportedly bit one of the officers on the finger, causing a wound that bled.
He was eventually subdued and taken into custody, where he was later charged.
His court date is being finalised.
