JCF deploys lawmen across the country to ensure a safe and secure Election Day
Members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force have been strategically deployed across the island to ensure a safe and secure election day.
Electors are slated to cast their ballots in 7,294 polling stations in 2,153 locations across the country for the General Elections and By-Elections.
The polls open at 7 A.M. and will close at 5 P.M., after which the preliminary counting of ballots will take place inside the polling stations.
The Constabulary’s Commissioners’ Office Election Command Centre, which has been operational since early this morning, stresses the importance of a well-managed and transparent electoral process.
This central hub will ensure the smooth execution of policing from the opening of polling stations to the final tabulation of results, safeguarding the integrity of the democratic exercise.
The Constabulary says the efficiency and vigilance of the Command Centre are paramount in fostering public trust and ensuring that every vote cast contributes to the legitimate representation of the people’s will.
