PM Holness promises to raise minimum wage from $16,000 to $32,000 if JLP returns to power
Prime Minister and leader of the Jamaica Labour Party, Dr. Andrew Holness has pledged to raise the minimum wage from $16,000 to $32,000 over the next few years if his party is returned to power.
He made the promise during a mass rally in Spanish Town, St. Catherine last night.
This comes two days ahead of the general polls.
Dr. Holness explained that the minimum wage will first increase from $16,000 to $18,500 in the first budget.
