JFM calls press conference to shed light on the dissolution of political alliance with JPP

The Jamaica First Movement, JFM will be hosting a press conference today, to shed light on the dissolution of its political alliance with  the Jamaica Progressive Party, JPP.

The dissolution was announced last Sunday.

The JFM said the split is due to  differences in foundational principles.

There is uncertainty about the participation of JFM candidates in the September 3general election as they were nominated under the JPP banner.

JPP is the only registered party of the 2.

Together they nominated 43 candidates on August 18.

The Electoral Office of Jamaica said candidates can only contest under the banner of the party through which they were nominated.

It is expected that the JFM will address this and other issues during its press conference which is slated for 12 noon.
