Rajindra Campbell secures bronze on opening day of Wanda Diamond League final in Switzerland
Olympic bronze medalist Rajindra Campbell was a podium finisher on Wednesday’s opening day of the two days Wanda Diamond League final in Zurich, Switzerland.
Campbell produced a best effort of 21.87 metres to finish behind the Olympic Champion Joe Kovacs of the USA who captured the Diamond League crown at 22.46 metres with his American compatriot Payton Otterdahl second at 22.07 meters.
The Olympic silver medalist Wayne Pinnock was fourth in the men’s long jump final after cutting the sand at 8.15 metres, while Carey Mcleod finished just behind in fifth place with jump measuring 8.07 metres.
The action swings into high gear on Thursday’s final day with several Jamaican Olympic medalist and national champions in action both on the track and in the field.
