Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw scores in Manchester City’s 4-nil pre-season win over Nottingham Forest

Reggae girl Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw was on the score-sheet as Manchester City ramped up pre-season preparations with a 4-nil behind-closed-doors friendly win over Nottingham Forest.

The former St Jago High and Harbour View FC Women’s player, Shaw netted once  in the lopsided contest, while Vivianne Miedema netted a double . 

The win helped to fine tune the squad ahead of the 2025/26 Barclays Women’s Super League campaign, where City tackles Chelsea in their opener on September 5.

Shaw is the new owner of the Manchester City number 9 shirt ahead of the 2025/2026 season.

The Jamaican forward, City’s record goal-scorer during our professional era, will make the switch from number 21, which she has worn since joining the club in the summer of 2021.

She scored 12 goals in the 2024/25 season, which secured her the Barclays Women’s Super League Golden Boot, achieving this goal tally in only 14 appearances, despite her season being affected by injuries.
