JLP promises central online traffic court scheduling portal so motorists can contest tickets
The Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) has committed to introducing a central online traffic court scheduling portal.
It is one of several promises made in the JLP’s manifesto entitled “I Choose Jamaica, The Next Chapter.”
The 110-page document was launched at a JLP mass rally in Montego Bay, St. James, yesterday.
In the manifesto, the JLP said that the portal will help motorists who wish to contest a ticket.
Motorists will have 14 days to choose their court date based on availability.
The JLP stated that the move will reduce wait times and eliminate the chaos of overcrowded courtrooms.
