Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) Campaign Chairman, Dr. Christopher Tufton has indicated that his legal team is handling the lawsuit filed against him by People’s National Party (PNP) member, K.D. Knight.

The suit is in relation to the playing of a recording at a recent JLP rally.

The attorneys claim that the manipulated audio was reportedly of Knight speaking unfavourably of Opposition Leader and PNP President, Mark Golding.

They had demanded that Dr. Tufton apologise.

Attorney-at-law Bert Samuels told IRIE FM News that the defamation suit was filed this morning.

When asked for a response, Dr. Tufton said he will remain focused on his task as campaign chairman.
