Kathleen Greenwood of the Jamaica Progressive Party (JPP) has been nominated to contest the upcoming general polls in Westmoreland Central.

The JPP is the nation’s fourth political party.

The party officially came into effect on July 15, 2020.

Following her nomination this morning, Ms. Greenwood told reporters that though her party is new, its members remain true to its service to Jamaicans.

She stressed that the JPP’s focus is centred on change.

In the meantime, People’s National Party candidate Dwayne Vaz was nominated at Independence Park in Savanna-la-Mar.

Mr. Vaz said this is his fourth time, and he is feeling very confident.
