JLP Leader PM Holness urges Jamaicans to consider performance and achievements instead of emotion and tradition when they decide which political party should form the next Gov’t

Jamaicans are being urged to consider performance and achievements instead of emotion and tradition, when they decide on which political party should form the next government.

Jamaica Labour Party Leader Prime Minister Dr. Andrew Holness said while the phrase third term has been bandied about in recent weeks, he is not asking for a third term.

He told party supporters that what he seeks from the electorate is a vote for a Government that has performed.

He made the comments in Devon, Manchester last evening, amid intensified campaigning ahead of the September general election.

Dr. Holness pointed out that the electorate can be confident in a decision to vote for the JLP, because it has evidence in the form of a record of achievements during the past 2 terms.

The JLP leader said the electorate should use credibility to judge the promises and commitments made.
