PNP releases audio version of its general election manifesto in Patois
For the first time in Jamaica’s history, a major political party has released an audio version of its general election manifesto in Patois.
The Opposition People’s National Party (PNP) launched its manifesto in Kingston last evening.
The manifesto, which is entitled “Mission Jamaica Love: A Pledge to Country”, is now available on the PNP’s website and social media pages.
The Patois audio version is available on streaming platforms such as Spotify and Apple Podcast, as well as on the PNP’s website.
During the launch, PNP Deputy General Secretary, Nekeisha Burchell played an excerpt of the Patois version, which highlighted the party’s Rural Initiative to Deliver Education (RIDE) programme.
The PNP says its newly unveiled manifesto outlines a transformative plan to drive inclusive growth and build a more equitable and just Jamaica.
The plan is anchored on key pillars, justice, opportunity, equity and progress, which the party says are designed to create a better life for all Jamaicans.
