Police identify 2 men who were fatally shot today and who were believed to be linked to a gun attack on a police constable and his family on the weekend
The two men who were fatally shot by police today, and who were believed to be linked to a gun attack on a police constable and his family in Reading, St. James on Saturday, have been identified.
Dead are Lindel Gray and Andre Reid, both 33 years old.
The men were cut down by police in Separate incidents in St. James and St. Thomas this morning.
Assistant Commissioner of the Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM) Hamish Campbell said Gray was fatally shot in Mafuta, St. James, shortly after 1:30 A.M.
The second incident involving Reid occurred at about 5:20 A.M., along the Shooters Hill Main Road, in Bull Bay, St. Thomas.
Lawmen Said Gray and Reid were suspects in the shooting incident in Reading on Saturday, which left a policeman and his 5-year-old son nursing gunshot wounds.
The Officer’s spouse was reportedly killed.
Mr. Campbell said INDECOM is unable to comment on a suggested link between both incidents.
