Jamaica Volleyball Association hails Boys and Girls team following Cazova Championship

The Jamaica Volleyball Association has expressed pride in the National Under-17 male and female teams, who both secured fourth-place finishes at the recently concluded Cazova under 17 volleyball Championship held at GC Foster College.

Despite valiant efforts, both teams fell short in their quests for a podium finish on home soil with the female team losing 25-9, 25-7, 25-23, to Trinidad in the bronze match after enduring a tough preliminary round where they lost all three of their group matches.

Over in the male division, Jamaica went down 25-17, 25-23, 25-19 to suriname in the third place decider. 

Chairperson of the Organizing Committee Lance Cowan says the experience is part of the learning curve for the Jamaican players.

Barbados won gold in the boys division while Suriname were crowned girls champions.
