A vendor was shot and killed at the Ocho Rios Market in St. Ann last evening. 

Dead is 23 year old, Alex Hylton of Mammee Bay in the parish. 

Reports are that Hylton was at his stall at around 8:00 P.M., when he was pounced upon by a man who opened gunfire hitting him.  

The police were alerted and upon their arrival Hylton was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced  dead. 

Investigations are ongoing.

34 people have been murdered in St. Ann, since the start of the year.
