5000 registered farmers expected to benefit from use of Coleyville cold storage facility in Manchester when it becomes operational at the end of renovation works

About 5 thousand registered farmers are expected to benefit from use of the Coleyville cold storage facility in Manchester, when it becomes operational at the end of renovation works.

Agriculture Minister Floyd Green noted that the renovation will cost Government about $295 million.

Speaking yesterday at the Contract Signing and Groundbreaking Ceremony, Green explained that the works include restoration of 8 cold storage units, and installation of a solar power system.

Green said the storage facility will help boost produce exports, especially for yams.
