A nine-year-old boy is suspected to have drowned at a pond, while attempting to collect water in Browns Hall, St. Catherine last evening.

He is Tavoy Griffiths of Harris Pass in Browns Hall.

Police say at about 6:50 P.M., Tavoy and two other children were at the pond, when he reportedly fell in.

Residents were alerted and Tavoy was removed from the water.

The police, who were also called to the scene, transported him to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
