A St. Catherine man died as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle crash in Ewarton this morning.

Dead is 52 year-old party promoter Oniel Alexander of Mickleton Meadows in Linstead.

Reports from the Linstead police are that at about 2:50 A.M., Alexander was traveling as a passanger in a silver Nissan motorcar heading towards Linstead.

Further reports are that the driver of a gray Toyota Axio motor vehicle, travelling in the opposite direction, allegedly swerved to avoid a bad patch in the road.

The two vehicles collided.

The police and fire department were summoned.

All occupants of both vehicles were taken to hospital.

Alexander was pronounced dead while the other injured persons were admitted for treatment.

Investigations are ongoing.
